OF OZ SEP 2007 |
My name is Maartje (the Netherlands).
In september 2007 is already did the All of Oz trip. It's
an amazing country. Make sure you have more than enough
picture on your camera with you. Because you need it.
(and also a lot of money for all the great activity you
can do).
Nr 1 rule. How more you put into it how more you get out
/ back of it.
Have a great trip in Ozzie.

N ROCK FEB 06 |

Hi, I'm Anne-Marie (aged 27).
I have recently returned from a year
of traveling, and as part of that travel, I joined 3
treks through Trek America; Atlantic Dream (October
05), Yucatan Adventure (November 05) and Reef 'n' Rock
(February 06, via their partner: Lets Trek Australia).
I had the most amazing time on all
the treks, which were very different; one camping, one
in hotels, one in hostels. The countries and landscapes
and activities were all very different. I had a time
that nobody can take away from me, and so many fun,
happy, exciting memories.
My trek groups were very different
on each trip, but I loved getting to know everyone and
have made some great friends. I was always so sad to
say goodbye at the end of each trek!
I recommend these kind of treks to
anyone. What a brilliant way to travel the world, try
new things and make new friends! Thinking of hitting
Alaska this summer if I can!!

N' ROCK |

Erin (my wife) and I, arrived in Australia
in anticipation, to find a wonderful, sunny country,
we were not disappointed.
We both agree that we had the best
time we have ever had. We met with a wonderful group
of people, of whom most I am still in contact with,
and two great trek leaders.
Travelling up the east coast
from Sydney to Cairns was simply amazing, the highlight
being two days on Fraser island, where our first trek
leader Gerard, forgot to tie the lid on the box of food
and dishes, which ultimately went flying along the beach
with its contents. Very weird experience, running around
chasing kitchen roll along a beach in Australia. The
Great Barrier reef was just breath taking, and a nice
way to say good bye to the sea, as we headed in land
toward Darwin. The vast open spaces of Australia and
baroness is simply amazing. The time in the Northern
Territory, and Kakadu National Park was brilliant, learning
all about aboriginal life and culture. But that was
nothing compared to the ore-inspiring Uluru. Here we
met with Paul, our second trek leader. A brief stop
in Coober Peedy and Adelaide and back to Sydney. Both
Gerard and Paul made it the holiday it was....brilliant,
thanks guys.

CENTRAL |

I am writing to give you some feed back on my Grand
Central tour.It was great, I enjoyed it very much! I
arrived home 3 days ago, but I miss Australia already!
I liked every part of our trip, including the 2 long
drives.I am completely satisfied about the trip and
I am thinking already about next year. I think it is
really worth visiting Australia, because it is so different
from other places, like Europe for example and you can
enjoy and see amazing things My tour leader, Paul, was
very nice and I liked the way he guided the group and
the tour. He knows a lot about Australia and I appreciated
it.

N ROCK MAY/JUNE 2007 |
|
Hello,
I just wanted to write a review for the Reef 'n Rock
tour that I did in May / June '07 to let all of you
know that it has been one of my best vacations ever!
As of the first day you could really tell that something
special was about to happen with umongst the trekkers,
the trek-leader and our stuffed animal Fred. Joe Brega,
our trek-leader, made a comment when we where only 30
minutes out of Sydney that I still remember quite good"
"Guys, take a good look at eachother... these are
your new best friends for life" - and I must say
he's right!
This trek has something magical, it
throws you around from adrenaline rush to adrenaline
rush up the east-coast and let's you get back in touch
with yourself in the outback - the nature is so beautifull
that (at least for me) there are several moments where
you get tears in your eyes fe. enjoying the sunrise
on top of Kings Canyon during the 7.2 Km hike overthere.
I take a deep bow for Joe, he's a trek-leader in all
his heart. Passionate about his country and willing
to answer every question that you might have. He seems
to be able to read people and give them room when they
need it and get into a personal talk to help anyone
that he can. Even with all the strungle that we had
to go through, he has able to remain enthousiastic and
motivating. If every trek-leader is only half as good
as he is, all people who take a trek with "OzXposure"
/ "Let's Trek Australia" will have the best
time ever!

N' SUN 27 FEB 07 |
| Just
a quick note to say how fantastic the trek from Cairns
to Sydney was. The group was brilliant and we got on really
well. The activities were great fun..especially the white
water rafting down the Tully River. Keppel Island was
a dream and Surfers Paradise was a good laugh.
Thanks to Adam
for making the Trek really enjoyable..Good work mate!
If anyone is thinking of
doing this Trek in the future...do it, it's well worth
it!!!

N' ROCK deps Sydney |

When you fly half way around
the world like I did, you arrive at Sydney airport and
your brain is telling you it is day-time, when it is
not, and you learn that your luggage has been left in
London you think: man ! this is not a good start...I
probably shouldn't have come here!
The good thing is, 24 hours latter
I had already changed my mind and was already sure that
I'd enjoy my trip (the bags eventually caught up with
me). Australia is a gorgeous...awesome country! It has
a good set of those natural wonders we're used to see
on TV shows and wonder if we'll ever get to see "live":
Fraser Island, the Great Barrier-Reef, Kakadu national
Park, Kings Canyon, Uluru, the Olgas or the Blue mountains
and...last but not least, the surprisingly "cool"
city of Sydney (just to mention a few).
You'll have time to enjoy the
sights as well as to endure a few adrenaline rushes,
should you decide to indulge yourself with some of the
more "radical" activities at our disposal.
But fear not...there'll be loads of time to relax. Some
of the driving days are quite long and you'll get a
chance to experience the "emptiness" of the
Aussie outback, the calmness of the desert landscapes
or simply read all the books in you bag. The best of
all comes latter in the day when night falls and we
gaze at the stars and suddenly realize there are a lot
more of those bright spots in the sky than you ever
thought possible.
My tour guide (Paul) guided
our group faultlessly and we all enjoyed A LOT the time
we spent together. Just like Cinzia said (yeah, we were
on the same trek) Australia is very different from probably
the majority of the places we've ever been to. Go and
check it out next summer. You won't regret it...I'm
sure !

TREK deps Sydney |
My name is Tori Oram and I was on the Big Trek that departed
Sydney on April 18th this year. It was absolutely amazing
and I had the time of my life! We were led by the wonderful
Gerard (Gerry) and there were seven in my group. Straight
away, everyone felt like a friend! I would truly recommend
this trip to anyone!
I saw so much of Australia and loved every minute. I skydived
at Airlie Beach, stroked a koala, stayed with the Aborigines,
saw Kangeroos, rode a quadbike across the outback, ate
"bush tucker", feasted on the most bizarre foods
(kangeroo, camel, crocodile, emu....), lay awake one night
listening to the chilling call of wild dingos (incredible
sound!) and hiked the base of Uluru! Oh and saw wild dolphins.
And the Opera House. And then there was the amazing Barrier
Reef.....As you can tell, I loved it and if anyone would
like any advice just send me an e-mail, I´d love
to hear from you. tori_ventura@yahoo.co.uk |
